C.A.M.P. H.O.P.E. (Christian Appalachian Mountain Project Helping Other People Enthusiastically) is a non-profit organization that repairs housing for elderly, physically challenged and low income families in and around Allegany County, Maryland. It is a one-week commitment during the summer for youth and their adult leaders. The program is funded by the volunteers who work throughout the year to raise the money needed. The expenses include lodging, food, materials for the work project and travel costs. This experience for the youth and adults is life changing, as they put their hands to work in the example of servanthood. Returning youth find the experience so rewarding that they invite friends to get involved and participate, which truly is evangelism at its best!
